Denis Lawson (innate September 27, 1947), is a Scottish actor, best known for his roles when Wedge Antilles in the Star Wars film series and when Urquhart in the film Local Hero. He has as well gained a few fame for existence a uncle of actor Ewan McGregor, who too appeared in the Star Wars films, in the role of Obi-Wan Kenobi. He was innate around Perthshire, Scotland.
Lawson began his career by owning the little role within the 1969 stage production of The_Metamorphosis in London's West End. & has since asterisked within television dramas like Rock Follies (1976), Dead Head (1986). In the period of motion-picture photography of That Uncertain Feeling (1985), he met his future married woman, actress Sheila Gish. It lived together for about twenty years prior to marrying around 2004; she died a year later.

Inside 2001, Denis Lawson & Andrew Byatt, director of the Scottish Actors’ Studio, ran the workshop for actors, known as ''A Actor's Cut. It was a profits & Byatt secured A funds for another workshop, The Actor's Cut Two within 2004. Around two workshops, course topics involved reading & deciphering moving picture scripts, film language, working inside at close range, training cover directors, technicians, produce higher & wardrobe population & more actors’ egos.

Return of the Jedi is the only Star Wars film where his title is right spelled "Denis" in the ending credits. In the credits of Star Wars and The Empire Strikes Back'', his name is misspelled "Dennis."
